In a significant stride towards the digitalisation of healthcare across Europe, the "its4Health" Digital Innovation Hub (DIH), led by Dr. Sci. Emir Ganić, Executive Director of the University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST), embarked on a pivotal visit to the "AI4Health" European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in the Republic of Croatia from November 28th to 29th.

This groundbreaking visit marks a cornerstone in strengthening regional and European Union partnerships, aiming to harness digital technologies in revolutionizing healthcare services. The delegation, comprising esteemed representatives from University SSST and the Verlab Research Institute for Biomedical Engineering, Medical Devices, and Artificial Intelligence, engaged in fruitful discussions with Croatia's leading healthcare innovators.


The "AI4Health" consortium, spearheaded by the renowned Institute Ruđer Bošković and supported by Policlinic Magdalena's advanced testing platform for digital healthcare solutions, hosted the delegation. The initial presentations laid the groundwork for exploring potential collaboration avenues, emphasizing the need for innovative solutions in healthcare, digital transformation training, and support for healthtech solutions and young innovators.

The dialogue between these institutions highlights a shared vision for a digitally empowered healthcare sector in Europe, showcasing the potential benefits of such collaborations in improving patient care and healthcare delivery.


The culmination of the visit was the agreement to sign a formal Memorandum of Cooperation between the two hubs, setting the stage for a future where digital innovation in healthcare is not just envisioned but actively pursued and implemented.
